My name is Lukasz Krzysztof Augustyniak — a Polish-born, Edinburgh-based shooting producer/director of scripted and non-scripted film and television, photographer and founder of the Cinema Chef universe.
With over 20 years of experience in filmmaking, photography, and performance, I deliver branded, commercial, and live event content for domestic & international clients.
I create work that blends cinematic precision with emotional rawness — bold visuals that feel intimate, poetic, and alive.
I directed and edited Monari, a documentary filmed in Nairobi, Kenya, and have produced projects ranging from music videos and branded stories to live studio shows and fire performances. Recently, I directed the 3-camera studio production Beyond the Spotlights and served as 1st Assistant Director on the scripted pilot Shadows of the Silver Screen.
I am currently studying BA (Hons) Television at Edinburgh Napier University, building a pathway as a scripted director, supported by experience as an AD.
Whether shooting solo or leading a crew, I bring a clear eye, a sharp aesthetic, and a deep intuition for rhythm, movement, and meaning. My practice is driven by presence — by what happens when light, emotion, and narrative meet.
WHAT I DO
I collaborate with:
Artists looking for cinematic portraits, reels, and music videos.
Institutions needing bold documentation of events and experiences.
Brands who want storytelling that moves people, not just sells.
I direct, shoot, and edit projects from start to finish — or step in as a creative lead, guiding teams through concept to delivery. My skills span multicam productions, fast-turnaround shoots, and stylised solo work.
Let’s co-create something unforgettable — whether it’s a cinematic portrait, a teaser that feels like a poem, or a visual campaign that cuts through the noise.
Cinema Chef — storytelling as sensory alchemy. Every frame is a flavour.
